Women's Forum Events
In New York, Washington, and L.A, alumnae have continued to develop
Women's Forums to cultivate a network of mentorship and friendship among
Duke women. Each city organizes informal dinners, coffees, and book clubs,
as well as programs on everything from psychology and fashion to wellness
and leadership – and featuring prominent Duke alumnae and faculty.

What's Cooking?: From School Cafeterias to Restaurant Row
The Duke Club of New York Women's Forum recently spent an evening with a distinguished panel of Duke women ---
a cookbook author/editor/literary agent, a leading scholar of food, and a celebrity restaurant critic --- for a discussion
of the culture and industry of food.
On campus, women are taking great strides in leadership. Awo Nur, who goes by Awa and who is a class of 2010 Baldwin Scholar,
was elected as the 2009-10 Duke Student Government president – the first female president elected since 1999 (click
