Duke University and the Alumni Affairs Office are committed to maintain and encourage family ties to the university. As admission to Duke becomes increasingly competitive, the Alumni Admissions Program serves as a resource to provide information and assistance to alumni whose children or grandchildren apply for undergraduate admission.

The program also serves as an advocate for the alumni-affiliated applicant during the admissions process. The Undergraduate Admissions Office considers all aspects of each student's application, and an applicant's alumni affiliation is one factor among many taken into account during this process.
