The process of applying to college can be exciting, exhausting, and stressful for both students and parents. Students raise many questions and concerns:
- How can I best prepare myself?
- How do I know if a school is right for me?
- What can I do to maximize my chances of admission?
- How important are essays and standardized tests in the application and selection process?
- What are colleges looking for?
- How can I present myself best on applications?
- What will it cost?
- What financing options are available?
Join us on Duke's campus Friday, June 18, 2010, for the annual Alumni Admissions Forum, which we hope will provide some answers.
This all-day conference is designed for rising 10th-, 11th-, and 12th-grade students and their parents to provide information on the process of selecting and applying to colleges. Experts in the field, both guest faculty and Duke presenters, will guide you through the undergraduate admissions maze, covering such topics as choosing a school, understanding college requirements, and completing the application.
(Location information will be sent with confirmation letter)
